What is a standard aluminium pipe profile?
A standard pipe profile is a circular, hollow aluminium extrusion. It is defined by outer diameter (ØD), inner diameter (Øa) and wall thickness (t). Widely used for furniture legs, handrails, decorative applications and industrial manufacturing.
How to choose the right pipe diameter
Diameter is selected according to the load to be carried and the application. Thin-diameter pipes (6–15mm) are used for decorative and light applications; thick-diameter pipes (60–100mm) are used for structural and load-bearing applications. Strength increases as wall thickness increases.
