What is a curtain roller and what does it do?
A curtain roller is the moving part that allows the curtain to glide smoothly and quietly along the rail. Different roller types — machine-sewn, locking, corded, snail — are used depending on curtain weight and rail type.
Which roller type should I choose?
For lightweight sheer curtains, corded or snail rollers are preferred. For heavier fabric curtains, locking or machine-sewn rollers are recommended. For metal rails, 15-piece cluster rollers are used; for PVC rails, standard curtain rollers are used.
What’s the difference between POM and HDPE rollers?
POM (polyacetal) rollers offer higher mechanical durability and quieter gliding, while HDPE rollers are a cost-effective option for standard use. POM is recommended for heavy curtains and high-frequency rails.
